Garden Update: Rose

As little Snowdrop played hide-and-seek with the other flowerets in the Songbird garden, the prim Rosette sighed, wishing the child would halt grieving her with joining in the juvenile (and drab, according to Rosette) excitement. Morningtide emerged and Rosette's plea had been bestowed as her holiday gift; a petite bud sprouted from a rosette formation of leaves and blossomed into little Rose, a child of the same height as Snowdrop and just as eager to play, although slightly resembling the refined demeanor of her elder.

Roses embody a myriad of meanings depending on the shade and amount of petals adorning each blossom, Rose is no different as she loves to turn from a sweet, affectionate girl to nothing short of an imp on a whim, beware of her thorns! (And beware of her playing hide-and-seek unfairly, little Snowdrop!)

Plenty of child flowers will continue to be cultivated over time, beginning with Snowdrop and Rose. Stroll through our garden and discover our newest, and littlest, Rose blossom.

Garden Update: Holly

Joining the ranks of the holiday-inspired plants is the protectress of all flora within the wintry season, Holly. Fierce like a valkyrie maiden and adorned in evergreen armor dotted with crimson berries, Holly defends her fellow flower friends from the bitter cold December brings and until spring blooms.

December has been packed with plenty of holiday surprises here at Qbee's Songbird garden and we invite you to continue celebrating the rest of it with us! Remember to collect your yummy gifts under the purple holiday tree before the month is over, as our group gifts rotate at the beginning of each month.

Presenting Chickweed

Deer and I, being shape and overall avatar fanatics, always take the time to check out what exactly other people are wearing. We've noticed a trend in styles out there, and decided that we needed to incorporate them in some way or another into our garden. Inspired by Pitbull himself, we present to you: Chickweed.

This feisty flower comes jam-packed with attitude. Whether it be at the mall or at a Wal-mart, she'll surely be down to fight anyone if you get in her way (or try to wear her Renzie skin ooo datz my renzie). Her massive attitude is further augmented by her heavily slitted eyes, complete with spiderweb eyelashes, bootyliciousness, lollipop head, and piercings for every person she's delivered a beat down upon. (oooo gurllll u so stoopid u dont even no) Her rounded chin and wide, poofy lips are ready to take a punch in any future brawl without hesitation. Hair? As long as she has more than the other person at the end of the fight, who cares what it looks like!

Damita Esperanza Estefania Rodriguez (or Deer she likes to be called) and I were so pleased with our newest addition to the garden, we just had to go flaunt our new look in public. (followed by comments: "Eth, is that you?" "ooo dont talk 2 me liek u no me, stoooopid") We went to a Kittycats auction to find some new amigos for our cats, and saw a couple of babigurls sitting down about to eat their lunch. We both felt the urge to ninjaloot us a new place to sit, as well as score us some Micky D's. A few minutes later, we were relaxing after warning the people once sitting there to not mess with our Renzie. Chickweed doesn't care, why should we! Ooo gurl don't u mess w/ my Renzie.

Garden Update: Mistletoe

As the holidays drift nearer, a fortuitous amount of seedlings have sprouted within our Songbird garden. Perhaps a gift to us in these festive times, Qbee has harvested every floweret found in our soil but struggled with one we couldn't seem to catch. Nestled in the treetop above, an impish fairy urged us Qbee shopkeepers to kiss, claiming it was a wintry tradition, leading us to discover she was Mistletoe. Mistletoe laughed impishly at the thought that she could demand us, among other victims who would stand beneath her, to do such a thing but refused to drop below onto the grass until she fell from her cackling. She now resides in Qbee's Songbird Garden shop, incessantly conning customers into kissing one another.

We anticipate more holiday-themed plant and flower shapes to bloom within December, coupled by matching accessories and other shopkeeper surprises. Qbee invites you to celebrate this festive month ahead with us in the garden.

Garden Update: Snowdrop

Within the wintry night, a drop of snow drifted from the dimmed sky and sprouted by dawn into the tiniest blossom of our garden, Snowdrop. Snowdrops represent new life and her shape bursts with sweetness, youth, and vitality, her eyes could soothe a thousand hearts. An innocent child, Snowdrop loves to play hide - and - seek in our garden with the other flowerets who (barely) oblige to partake in such a silly game, but we're more than joyous to house our first child shape at Queen Bee!

We anticipate more holiday-themed plant and flower shapes to bloom within December, coupled by matching accessories and other shopkeeper surprises. Qbee invites you to celebrate this festive month ahead with us in the garden.

Garden Update: Snapdragon

Gardening with Customer Support Ladybird Lyric is never a simple task, the girl barely knows how to tend to newly-grown sprouts and only has knowledge of answering Qbee customer inquiries. Today though she redeemed herself by plucking a rather fiery flower in hot pink and red from the soil behind our shop, despite her shock as the blossom snapped at Ladybird, the flower angered at being awakened from its garden slumber.

The Qbee staff couldn't resist adding this sultry Snapdragon to our array of flowerets, and she's on display in our shop for all to admire her beauty. Dragonlady Snapdragon now awaits all future servants and worshipers (her words, not mine!) within our garden shop location.

Garden Update: Wildflower

Not only has Wildflower sprouted along the Songbird garden and taken form in a shape, but she's covered our shop's meadow entirely! Our meadow, peppered in flowering pink and lavender buds, inspired this shape and she's a celebration too of our new garden's dawn.

Wildflower's promo may be purchased in-world for a discounted price, this promo version is offered in three heights while her copy/modify version can be found here. She looks like a candy unicorn princess of some sort, like Lady Amalthea from The Last Unicorn with pink and purple instead of her pearly white, Wildflower appears enchanting nonetheless and looks perfect against her natural meadow canvas.

Whichever way you choose to obtain a Wildflower bouquet, this shape's dreamy look and doe eyes have been an inspiration for our new shop throughout and we hope you love her as much as we do at Queen Bee. Thank you, Wildflower!

Garden Update: December Group Gifts

Upon joining our quaint group in-world '/* qbee and the songbird garden,' new gifts will be available to our fellow gardenfolk every month. With the holidays shortly rolling around the corner, nothing seemed more ideal than to give our group members four presents wrapped beneath a chic purple tree.

Holiday colors were featured on December's gifts to depict the festive nature of this entire month in red and white with of course an absolutely hilarious (and my favorite) Disney-related sound gesture pack featuring a villain who too adores wearing red. Can you guess which Disney villain it is? Take a stroll over to our group table and collect your ribbon-wrapped gifts from beneath the tree to find out and collect your other gifts from Qbee to you as well.

And now I offer you several teasers for some of the treats waiting for you under our adorned holiday tree. The / * qbee - Lily Shape was used to model the Carmine Country Bow and the Pearl Hairpin (It perfectly matches your gift ring given with every shape purchase) and the lovely new / * qbee - Wildflower Shape can be seen sporting the sultry and holiday-worthy Tearose Ribbon - Sunset! Remember, after December these gifts won't be available anymore so snag your presents from beneath the tree soon!

Also for group members, if you stop by our Songbird garden with your group tag on and a Qbee staff member is present, she too will surprise you with yet another gift! We love our members dearly and wish to show this to you in every way possible. Hugs!

Lucky Garden Flower Possibilities

With plenty of possibilities blooming within our Lucky Garden Flower ranging from soundpacks to a few lucky promo shapes (with stylecards included) to accessories, we've decided to give you a teaser of what accessories you can find at our lofty lavender flower chair in the Songbird garden. Lucky Garden Flower prizes will be rotated around as well so what may be a prize today, may not be available later.

We hope to promote our shapes through our nature-inspired themed items and rocking out in these accessories whenever we can. Of course, we're only showing one variation of each so stop by our Lucky Garden Flower to view the other lucky options and perhaps win a few floral treats of your own!

Garden Update: A new shop and new goodies!

After plowing through loamy soil and planting our shape seedlings while sewing some pretty bows to make accessories out of our nearby tearoses to demonstrate our shapes further, Queen Bee has finally opened its doors to its new shop! In a bright garden clearing surrounded by meadows, you may now shop for sounds and shapes in a serene environment and listen to the gentle sounds of birds chirping and our own Qbee radio, featuring practically every Hayao Miyazaki soundtrack. Overall, the environment is rather epic and you should stop on by and experience our garden.

We've also implemented group gifts and added plenty of goodies to our Lucky Garden Flower in hopes of sprouting even more Qbee love in the form of girly, ribbon-oriented floral accessories for your lovely avatars! Qbee will offer four group gifts every month to its members and as it's December, you can unwrap your Qbee gifts in style under a chic purple holiday tree on our main table.

Our Lucky Garden Flower is now in bloom, bursting with a plethora of prizes to cater to all girls alike. Some of our prizes include headdresses, rings, soundpacks, and even a rare chance at a shape that comes with her own stylecard and other swag. Much like flowering fruit, you wouldn't want to miss out on your chance to own some of these yummy prizes as they'll be rotated out often as new prizes bloom in our Lucky Garden Flower!

And to top off this long-winded but much needed post to celebrate a new shop that means a lot to the entire Qbee staff, we've released a new shape to commemorate a series of flowers that touched our hearts in this newfound meadowy environment - the pink and purple wildflowers dotting our terrain.

Wildflower, much like her dainty flowerets, represents both originality and creativity, something Qbee strives for, as wildflowers must be sorted with careful detail into beautiful color assortments for them to be in harmony with one another. Wildflower signifies our shop vision, building a garden to host shapes with innocence toward the extent of the project, with her doe-like eyes and overall dreamy appearance. Each of our shapes is made with inspiration and of course love and I hope Wildflower can depict this through her sweet, feminine appearance.

If you would like to take the promo version of Wildflower home with you, don't hesitate to stop by our shop for a discount. I will make a separate post about Wildflower and other new goodies! We hope our shop will be to your liking and that you will enjoy every aspect, from the ambiance to the group gifts to the lucky chair to the sound packs and shapes themselves. We've poured our hearts into this project but like any project, it's never truly finished and the hive will continue to flourish further, this is just the beginning of Queen Bee's new Songbird garden.

New Songbird Nursery Opening Soon

Hello everyone! First and foremost, let me introduce myself, I'm Ethereal Mist, shop manager for Qbee, and the House of Songbird. I mainly take care of customer service, helping Deer Songbird with anything she might need, mostly giving my creative input such as, "yeah, that looks awesome!" or "yeah, that looks amazing!"

Anyway, to allow for all the new shapes and products we will be releasing soon, we decided to upgrade our shop!

We wanted it to be a garden/farm theme because hey, we grow shapes from the roots up! ^__^

I just wanted to share with everyone the design process, as well as describe some of the hard work Deer put into this!

It begins...

We also added a bunch of new things, like an all new music stream featuring some awesome OSTs from various Miyazaki films, such as My Neighbor Totaro, Spirited Away, and Howl's Moving Castle!

We're going to be releasing a new shape when we finally open the new shop as well, and Deer is working hard on making new freebies for everyone!

Garden Update: Tigerlily & Bird of Paradise

Two new flowers have sprouted within the Songbird garden into new shapes. Flowerets inspired by animals, the sweet and sassy Tigerlily and the distinctive yet spectacular sight Bird of Paradise (with the coolest hair!) have chosen to make Qbee their new garden home to flourish in amongst their plant and flora sisters.

Dawn of a Flowering Garden

The Songbird Garden

Marketplace

Hello and thank you for sauntering through the Songbird garden update blog. With each shape sculpted evoking a particular facet of nature in mind depending on her shape name, we hope to donate a bit of our adoration for creating symbolic shapes to the grid and to share our passion for interpreting nature and beauty with you.

We hope to offer something different to the Second Life community at qbee through the love and inspiration poured into every individual shape and hope that you can find a shape that speaks out to you through her appearance. Each shape isn't merely a number within our garden shop, but an individual project sincerely developed with plenty of influences mind and we're proud of each of our shapes offered in their unique variety.

When considering a shape, we use every facet of the flower she signifies, whether through the appearance of the flora to the symbolism and lore behind the plant itself, every shape holds some reason as to why she's sculpted the way she is in every aspect. Beyond influences of nature meshed with classical music and Radio Hyrule playing at the House of Songbird, Japanese ball-jointed dolls also deliver inspiration among considering the other lovely shapes we've seen throughout our travels in Second Life. With many influences, we aspire for our shapes to blossom and bud into the beautiful flowerets they represent fully.

For purely aesthetic reasons, our shape portraits have had color additions and other texures overlaying the close shot and body shot, we've always made truth our priority, it's imperative that each shape is properly demonstrated to you.

We're offering you shapes, not skins nor hair nor eyes nor wardrobe, and while the stylecard demonstrates what resources were used to achieve the portrait's look, our portraits are not enhanced in any way to distort the shape from how it'd look in-game under the proper lighting provided.

While aesthetic qualities mean much to us, showing you what the shape truly looks like through facial contours and the shape of her body are even more meaningful so no image of ours is graphically enhanced to change the look of the shape itself in any way. This is and will always be our first priority.

Refunds aren't given under any circumstances. We've promised stylecards and lighting settings with every shape and have included every resource possible to ensure your happiness with the shape you've selected. There's no reason for dissatisfaction resulting in a refund and all of our shapes have been tested by several others to guarantee that they're well-liked and proportionate under a utilized sylecard and the lovely lighting settings provided.

However if part of the shape didn't deliver properly (as this happens much too often, please send a notecard or IM to 'Deerylou Resident' and I will be more than happy to send you the missing part of the flower you purchased. Please provide an order number when doing this.

All of our shapes can be both modified and copied minus the promo edition of Hibiscus, available in three height varieties. I find it ridiculous when creators lock their shapes especially when residents' perspectives of the ideal height vary so much, so qbee will always have its shapes copyable and ready to be modified to your liking.

Hello, I am Shika (Deer) 鹿 Songbird (or to my ponies and bronies, Fluttershy/Flutterdeer) and I adore all that's plastic, flowery, nature-filled, lacy, colorful, and full of animals AND NERD REFERENCES. Second Life could really use some more of all of these things and each heavily inspires me. ♡

I was given the nickname "Queen Bee" a very, very long time ago by my RL friends for my ability to initiate new ideas and have my worker bees follow me throughout my crazy concepts. My currently enslaved (just kidding OR AM I? :) worker bees are Miki/Rarity and Eth/Pinkie Pie, the other two members of our Pink Head Crew trio. Miki is my refined twin sister with a penchant for all that's floral and Victorian and Eth is our fun-loving best friend and my partner. We partake in a plethora of activities together both online and offline when not perusing a woodland sim (Much to their dismays, sorry!) or resting in front of our peacock-ridden beachfront home's television watching the anime Ranma 1/2 and commenting on every little thing. We also practically live in the Queen Bee shop and it isn't rare to see us spending time together huddled around the cashier desk.

We're a really fun group and started our shop by making soundbytes for us to have even more fun in-game. We've made many friends with common interests along the way who understood our nerdy references and for that we're grateful. We decided to start Queen Bee as a way of further contributing to the SL community a facet of our interests and passions and hope you can feel part of our love.

Shapes have been an interest of ours throughout every game offering customization so it was only natural that our once geekery-only Second Life shop would transform into a shape shop at some point as well and we're loving every moment of pouring our passion into every shape.. We hope to continue growing our garden with new shapes, soundbytes, and anything else our future may hold - Eth keeps saying bikinis are next but I feel that we're to be shapemaking for a bit now as I love initiating every shape project and watching it flourish with my fellow shopkeepers. :)

All of our shapes are made with the utmost love, we pour our hearts into every shape and are inspired individually to make each one special. We hope that you enjoy our Songbird garden of shapes too and spread the seedlings and love amongst your Second Life friends! ♡
